STRATEGIC PLANNING
In 2005, the Club began developing a strategic plan to guide the Board, committees, and management for the future. Currently, the Club is in the third of this series of strategic plans. These plans have guided committee and board decisions, eliminated agendas, and given management the tools to keep the Club moving forward.

The current strategic plan was adopted in the June of 2021 and was an innovative approach to the strategic planning process. Unlike the past two plans, this strategic plan has no set end date and is to be reviewed by the Board on an annual basis. This approach was utilized to adapt to the changing landscape of today's ever-changing environment. The basis of this strategic plan includes 13 mission statements created for each department and area of operation. Areas of operation identified within the Strategic Plan include Club governance and Board Finance, along with the 11 club departments. In 2022, a priority within the Strategic Plan was focused on membership. After careful deliberation by management, committees, and the Board, the Club elected to change the membership structure and adopt a ONE CLUB membership.

Delivering exceptional experiences and adhering to the Platinum Clubs of America selection criteria will perpetuate the rich history and traditions of the Club. Diverse and relevant programs and events will compliment a commitment to unparalleled service.  Club leadership will focus on measured membership growth that supports fiscal responsibility and sustains long-term profits, as the Fort Worth Club cements its place as a Top 10 Platinum City Club in the nation

DAVEY O'BRIEN FOUNDATION
A unique and vital piece of history is found within the 11th floor in the Davey O'Brien Hall of Fame. The Davey O'Brien Hall of Fame is located on the 11th floor next to the Davey O'Brien Sports Lounge. Davey O’Brien’s longtime friend and business partner, Charles Ringler, believed that accomplishments and commitment of one of Fort Worth’s finest sports heroes deserved to be honored and remembered. In November 1977, just before O’Brien passed away from cancer, Ringler and other members of The Fort Worth Club established the Davey O’Brien Foundation and Davey O’Brien Memorial Trophy. To this day, the Davey O’Brien Award honors candidates who exemplify Davey O’Brien’s enduring character while exhibiting teamwork, sportsmanship, and leadership in both academics and athletics. This award has evolved to three awards given annually, which are housed on the 11th floor of The Fort Worth Club in the Davey O’Brien Hall of Fame.
